I find the coloring good and the shading only adds on to it, However I do find the character stiff and based on the cloths it seem that there is a breeze or a wind. The hair seem to be flying up, but it does give the look of being "jelled like that" for lack of a better term. I would make more of the hair flow up not just the pig tails, and then add a darker shade of orange to the ends and bottom side of the pig tails.
Hope it helps, And make no mistake I find the piece made very well, and the color makes up for a lot of the faults. better coloring then what I can do.
