Description
This picture retaught me how to use colored pencils again. Somehow I had forgotten how to blend properly, and I had forgotten when I was bored I used to just draw phoenixes, because blending red, yellows, and oranges together is fun.

Partly inspired by the Sandman tale, "Ramadan", and Neil Gaiman`s excellent storytelling. "For the phoenix lays two eggs when its time comes, one white, one black. And out of the white egg the phoenix itself hatches, when its time comes. But what comes out of the other egg no one knows."

And yes, I suppose it looks more like a dragon than a phoenix, but eh. I don`t argue with the picture. To quote Ursula Vernon, "In the fight between the art and the artist, the art always wins."
