Description
This is my asteroid battle scene that I started some 10 years ago. Because of recurring pain in my hands and general life in the way, I have not been able to finish the traditional drawing. Now that I learned to use digital painting techniques, I've have finished it in full color like I wanted to do in the beginning. I have two versions of this digital painting: one with a HUD (Heads UP Display) and one without. Btw, I have my own story in mind when I created this scene. You make your own

Btw..this piece was a happy accident...it started out as a cityscape of a futuristic city somewhere in Africa with the large starship as long spoke leading into the city hub. I turned the piece upside down and suddenly envisioned the space scene before you.
