Hahaha, but at least your effort definitely shows XD! I have a costume that requires a similar hassle, but it's just a very intricate tattoo that goes across the length of my entire arm D8 it took 3 hours to draw our first time. LOL

Hehe, yeah. I had a lot of help with people recommending to me what to use, otherwise I would have just had a big "DURRR" moment, but it was the first time I'd ever done makeup.

We didn't have enough time to vector them out and print them on tattoo paper, so my friend sat me down the morning of the con and painted on my arm @___@

Wow, that's so awesome! Yeah, as far as makeup goes I just kinda blank out on how to begin and what is used for what and where LOL. What did you end up using to be able to have his dark green stripes go smoothly over the white base? o.O Liquid eyeliner maybe? (Once I contemplated cosplaying as Ulquii when I saw your photos on cos.com, but then I realize I'd probably do a horrible job of the makeup lol.) Also my makeup terminology sucks so I'm sorry if I got anything wrong hahaha.

Oh wow, that's a really intense tattoo, no wonder it took so long!

haha, my makeup terminology is terrible too, I don't even know what most things are called or what they're used for either. What I used for the green stripes was, I think, an eyebrow pencil. That's one of the things that could be better, probably, since up close it looks more wobbly and uneven. I did two or three makeup tests before I ever wore him out anywhere, just because I knew I had to get better at applying that stuff!

Yeah @___@ and I had forgotten to bring /buy the paint and brushes, so I had to run over to my friend's hotel room and borrow what we could from them LOL.

Ohhhh, I see now! o: Yeah, I hear eyebrow pencils are so much easier to control than liquid eyeliner, and both look good either way, but if you practice with the liquid eyeliner it's very clean and smooth up close and far away...or something like that. 8D Man, the wonders of makeup. TaT;
