Just tried to change pic, I clicked the download button which took me to a page to copy and save but when I clicked file to useΒ it said it couldn't.

Saw your tutorial, but I couldn't change the properties because I don't have the tabs you used to change to icon... I'm using a windows pc I don't know if maybe you have another.

Then you should have the same options as me. Make sure you're right clicking on the folder you want to apply the icon to and not the icon you downloaded.

Yeah I tried it, I right clicked the folder the picture was in and clicked properties but I got the tabs for General, Sharing, Security, and Previous Version.

Right click folder -> Properties -> Customize Tab -> Change Icon, then just find where you have the icon saved and apply it. Make sure you have the downloaded version from the button, not the image above
