I'm currently writing a DOA/Mortal Kombat fic that focuses on Scorpion's son that actually survived the destruction of the Shirai Ryu village and was taken in by the Mugen Tenshin (all part of Quan Chi's plan, mind you), and your rendition of Scorpion is how HE might look like, albeit he flies the Mugen Tenshin's colours instead of Scorpion's yellow.

I mean seriously, what was her beef with Kasumi? I can hear the duty excuse, but that's no justification for how she acted before. I always found it nice when she got slapped... twice!

Well, it's more than just what Kasumi "seemingly" did to the clan.
Ayane was just jealous that the clan treated Kasumi like a princess while she was left isolated at times when they were growing up. I also believed that it was Kasumi's sentimental values that held her back as a "whole ninja" (in other words, Kasumi don't like killing)got her ticked off, considering that as a mockery.
That's how I know about her grudge. Yeah, I don't like Ayane that much, either, only because I hate the fact that her fanbase is a little stronger than Kasumi's.
