I've been studying iridescent/holographic materials in a desire to Understand. Also been playing lots of Hollow Knight, this game is really really great wow I can't believe I slept on it. Currently at the final boss and finishing up side content.

Anyway, I realized holo mugs are a thing that exist, and what is shaped like a mug but a vessel's head, so this is a study-turned illustration. Dude's looking like a lava lamp.

Recorded the process so might put together a speedpaint later.
