Oh. A paintbrush and a shuriken together perhaps? I'd love to see the mature version of the symbol. I've contemplated getting a tattoo for a couple of years, but I've always talked myself out of it because I couldn't see my tattoos having significance to me later in life, not to mention I'm scared of needles (I always have to look away when I get shots at the doctor, or when I have blood drawn.) However, my idea for getting a barn owl feather, with lavender clouds and sparkles in the background, has not gone away as I've been thinking about it all summer.
I'm an English major, and owls have held significance for me even before I got to college, so it'd be full of symbolic meaning to me that would never go away. The quill is a classic symbol of writers, not to mention I've been a fan of owls since I was started on Harry Potter when I was seven years old. And outside of Harry Potter, I have loved barn owls for a long time, even if they eat mice and regurgitate their fur and bones in pellets.
