Kyle watches how the dust dances in the few rays of sunshine that seeps in through the closed blinds, mesmerized by how the tiny particles seemingly manages to avoid each other in their constant and wild movements. He blows at them, creating a storm but not even that makes them clump together, not even a disaster makes them seek comfort in someone else.
He turns around but realizes he's alone in his bed yet again, and doesn't know why he was even hoping.
