Based on the story, this guy has officially gone nuts.

Had he 'gone nuts', or he had always been nuts? Maybe it wasn't brought to light until recent events happened.

By the by, your writing is phenomenal. When I first read your story, I couldn't stop myself from reading.

If it's not too much to ask, can you show how you learned to write so beautifully?

Oh my I really should check my DA more often. Sorry for the late reply. I don't usually pop in here.

How...? Lots of practice. I didn't go to school nor underwent special training. Mostly a mix of online resources, a great editor as a partner, observation, and just working on it.

I'll be honest: I didn't like to read fiction. I very much prefer manga and anime. All the books that I do read are non-fiction such as science. At one point it got me thinking "I like fiction. I can't put down manga. I'm engrossed in anime. But why don't I like written fiction? Is it because they have pretty pictures?"

After observing manga and anime, I find that it's not because it has pretty pictures. It's because a good visual medium conveys mood and atmosphere on-point. They have limited pages or airtime, so whatever they made had to punch an impact within seconds. They HAVE to deliver a scene without dragging it on, otherwise people lose their interests... As what happened with Bleach (poor Tite Kubo).

So I tried to apply the same sense of timing to my written work. Where does the 'camera' focus? What detail is important? What order should the detail be revealed? How to build the atmosphere I wanted? How much should be described, and how much left to reader's imagination?

I have an older work published on Amazon and Smashwords. Β Please check it out. If it's not to your liking, that's okay. But if I didn't write Crafting the Sun, I wouldn't have the skill to write Golden Quiche today.

I got the story. And I got to say, I'm hooked on the story.

Sorry about the late reply. I would've gotten the story sooner, but "things" kept popping up too often.

I guess when one looks at all the possibilities and how easily it can lead to a "bad end", it isn't surprising that given the slightest motivation, one will do anything to prevent it, even if it means taking the worse path for oneself.
