it wasn't until I finished the drawing that I thought of that,
but you are definitely right,
I think I was subconsciously thinking about that when I came up with the clocks idea.

Right, that makes sense.
That happens to me, too--like, I do something subconsciously when drawing and then realize it when I'm done.
Pretty cool, how the subconscious rules our minds...

exactly!!! I think I've done that a couple times while drawing and then had people tell
me it has something in it that looks like its from something else! Haha!

Yup!
That's what's really cool about the arts in general, I think (whether it's literature, visual art, or music)--you can see/read/hear echoes of other works and other influences in something new!
I love that.
