ok, I'm not counting this as a re-upload from my old account because there is stuff new to dA here, including much much more in the mines and one of the audio tracks written espescially for the game by my stubble-bunny , whom I now worship at every given oppertunity.also new is the title screen and the Dreamstorm saga logo.
also, for those who like stats:

this is awesome- i actually love that theres no story or enemies or anything- just stripped back exploration purely for the fun of it. the aesthetic is lovely to- the scenery s expressive but simplistic.... im just disappointed now cos i was thinkin of makin a game like this recently. now i cant cos ill just feel like a thief. glad i got to experience this though... thank you.

and you never know how it'll turn out, I started a game as a mario64 clone a few weeks ago and its evolved into its own thing
also if you are into this check out the nevermore games, the knytt/nifflas games and... there more but I cant remember, if you play all those and want more come back and I might've remembered some more

interesting character composition and scenery. the character itself is given great detail and care :3 (the scenery reminds me of "nevermore" or"color my world"}

Very nice with the character modeling. What kind of software did you use? I could sure use some tips in creating a feasible 3D model/s for my future games.

for this I used 3DsMax, though these days I'm all about the blender. if you are looking for tips, #Game-Art is a good place to start, theres already a few tutorials knocking about in its gallery: [link]
also you can usually find some nifty modellers hanging about in the gameart chat: #GameArt
best tip I can give myself is keep making stuff and don't ever stop, when you hit a wall go online and look for ways to kick the wall's ass

What about Swift3D then? Personally, I'm not exactly a modeller, but I can still hold my own with basic modeling and stuff. At least in 3DsMax, that is.

Swift3D? wow it's been ages since I've heard that, I used to use it for its render to vector stuff, but at the time it couldn't handle deforming meshes which was a big crap, and why render to vector when you can make an ink'n'paint or toonshaded render elsewhere and use flash's bitmap to vector tool?
plus its not like flash cant handle a series of bitmaps these days anyway

Oh! Wait a sec... Flash has a bitmap-to-vector tool? That's a first I've ever heard of.
Actually, I'm using a 3rd-party software to vectorize any bitmap images I might have for use in Flash.
Besides, when one's intending to publish a heavy-content game, especially if it's Flash, having vector images over bitmap certainly takes the cake.

This is really fun, even as is! Although the mines scare the heck out of me, but that's just my fear of underground. Can't wait to see more, I especially hope there'll be something at the dead ends and the space where you can't go any further (like in the mine where you hit skiy? 0.o)
