ok this is about a year old now, sadly it didnt become the big hit i was hoping it would be, mostly because I focused on making it a split screen two player game for friends.my big flaw is that if people who live on the internet (like myself) rarely have friends, and if we do, they tend to be on a computer some distance away.
in short, the audience for this game is small, but if you do happen to have someone who will play with you in the vicinity try it out, I've had a bit of fun with it.
also, if you like liero, you should like this...

Dude, this game is epic. Please, somehow get this game so 2 people can play it online. Or at least have a CPU to go against.

I'm not ruling out a remake in the distant future, but if you want this kind of thing now, Google for liero xtreme or teeworlds, they are both really great implementations of this kind of gameplay

vary cool game ^^ love the ninja rope, when i was playing with my friend and used i the ninja on the floor i didnt get y i was stuck to the floor by a red wire my friend kept saying it was a spechl attack i didnt know about....

it totally would, though it woud be tricky to make the game challenging with the ability, though I played the bionic commando demo yesterday and it has a similar thing whichworks pretty well

sorry but I dont have the source handy, but it was barely physics, I just effect the x and y inertia by a fraction of the distance to the grapple point, as well as a fraction of what was moved last frame (so the inertia springs beyond the grapple elastic like)

I've now successfully played this twice with friends. I'll say a few things: firstly, the window needs to be much larger. Secondly, customisable keys are a must - I'm sure everything would fit on my confusing little laptop keyboard if you just gave me the ability to tweak it.
Beyond that, computer AI and multiple weapons would be the obvious next steps.
