I love love love Makoto Kino! She's probably my favorite Sailor Moon character. In early Sketches Naoko Takeuchi made her a smoker and a leader of a girl gang (or sukeban) and I always thought it would be interesting if it stayed that way.I just inked her with a pen and then colored it in Photoshop, that's all.

Your drawing of Makoto is AWESOME
I think this is how Makoto would look like in a 1980's American novel for teenage girls. You did a very good job with this.
And although I'm against smoking (I don't hate or bash smokers but I've never smoked and worry about heavy smokers I know) I guess it wouldn't be that unrealistic if this or that Sailor Moon character would pic up a fag once in a while (now or in the future).

I knew her uniform indicated that her previous school was a reform school, but I didn't know how far Naoko Takeuchi intended to go with her. Thanks for the info and the picture.
