Description This is how to make a poseable dragon that hangs like a backack (this tutorial does not show you how to make it into a backpack however, as that is my secret ). This is my first ever tutorial, so please bear with me.

Here are the steps shown in the photos:

1. Cut out body, tail, spine, wings (not membranes) and legs (which should be extra long, about twice as long as you think they should be because they are going to double as straps) as shown in photo, making sure that there is excess of each to allow room for change in design later on.

2. Cur wire for legs, wings and spine and twirl together (try and line it up with the fur to make sure it works, but still leave extra so you can make changes later if you need to.

3. Sew the pieces of fur together (if you do it inside out then the stitches will be less obvious at the end). You can either sew the wire skeleton into the body, or simply thread it through. Either is fine.

4. Stuff the body with stuffing.

Cut wing membranes from felt (I do it last so I know it is the perfect size) and sew onto the wire and fur.

5. Now is your last chance to make sure the arms are long enough to be straps (twist them together to do this, or twirl them on themselves to make them into normal sized legs).

You can now sculpt the face. I didn't take any photos of it because it is really simple. I just carve a piece of foam in the desired shape and sew it onto the neck. Then I cover it in clay etc. and sculpt the details.

DONE!!

Let me know if you have any questions

Oh and please credit me if you use this and drop a link in the comments so I can check it out

I would like something like that, unfortunately I need one that is heavy duty.

Yeah that is a slight problem with these... they are fine for small things but nothing too big or heavy (i.e. text books).
