Description Jet-lagged and exhausted from the con I still had to draw something. Robin Williams was my first role model and a huge influence on me when I began acting in high school. I even had a Mork from Ork spacesuit (that's right, kids, cosplay!) that I wore to Algebra class on a dare fromΒ Tom Jordan . So many awesome movies...Garp, Hook, Bird Cage, Dead Poets Society...but the thing I remember most about Robin Williams was the first time I saw Mork and Mindy. It was with my parents. I looked over at my dad and he was laughing harder than I had ever seen him laugh (before or since). He was actually wiping tears from his eyes. I thought, "I wanna make my dad laugh like that some day."Β

Mork from Ork. Signing off. Nanoo nanoo.

I think I had better rent Mork and Mindy and watch it. (I'm way too young to have seen it when it originally aired.)

A beautiful tribute Sonny. I myself grew up watching him in the 90's, and all I could think still to this day is, I wanna make the people around me smile through laughter and I do, and its all thanks to Robin. I will miss him.

I loved all the different voices he could (like as in the gennie in Aladdin) and his spunk in "Good morning Vietnam". Β Mrs Doudtfire was funny. Β He will always be remembered as a Legendary Comedian. Β  Good job Sonny.

It was certainly a shocker.

One of my friends from High School had those darn suspenders...

He was my role model, too. I want to be able to put smiles on everyone's faces every time I perform, just like he did with my family. I miss him so much.

This...
Dang.. I'm very choked up over the loss of such a wonderful soul. Robin Williams was one in a million.Β
I remember watching Mork and Mindy with my mother when I was little, one of my most memorable memories with her.Β
Can't see anyone even coming close to making us laugh the way Robin Williams did, he had aΒ je ne sais quoi about him.Β
