Eh..there are a few things wrong with it that I only noticed after I'd basically done, which would have been to hard/take too much effort to change..I'm overall kinda proud of it though.
Haha I wouldn't worry too much, I'm not better at art than you, I had to copy the pose from somewhere else (though I can't remember what it was from now, it was over 2 weeks ago that I drew the paper copy of it ._. ) because i tried doing on my own and I fail epically at atonomy so that didn't go down well lol. You're still better at artyfarty stuff than me, you're stuff looks..I dunno how to say it..more professional? It's a damn sight neater and tidier than my stuff at least lol.
I know art takes ages, but uggh, it felt like I'd been drawing that for months..it looks decent though, so I suppose that's a plus. I might try drawing something else in a few days or so, since I've got tons of free time for a while now.
I wish I could muscle memory anything relating to drawing I can just barely do faces, but if we both get out of our comfort zones, maybe we can get bodies muscle memoried too~
Psh, I'm not that clever, you're giving my nooby self too much credittttt.
Also have you been spying on me IRL, I say "good golly gosh" a lot.

I've copied poses before, so you're not alone. xD
I guess the fact my work looks more professional is because I've been doing the same damn things for so long (such as general portrait stuff) I've gotten real good at that sort of thing. If anything, it's probably the shading techniques and such I've picked up from a ton of field research, and my own unstoppable perfectionism that means EVERYTHING MUST BE EXACTLY RIGHT WHEN I DRAW OR IT IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH.
Just be glad that you actually drew something and it looks good and other people agree. That's what I do.
Blame my friend Kyle, he says it and I've stolen his GOOD GOLLY GOSH DARN DANGED speech patterns.

ME CONFIRMED FOR ACTUALLY A CAT
I just shade with the pen tool. That's it. Mouse and pen tool, set to its maximum size (or whatever's needed) and the lowest... Uh... Thickness or whatever. the thing where there's four options, iunno.
Even with my eye shading (and you'll see this in that Mayumi image of mine) I just fill it in, click a couple times to add white to the bottom, and drag a darker shade of the fill colour over the top. THAT'S IT. It's the same with hair, slightly lighten top - though this can take a couple different shades - and then darken the bottom bit behind the main uh... Front bits. Technical terms. basically, I try to keep the back and front hair shading separate to give depth.
TL;DR IT'S REALLY SIMPLE AND NOBODY WOULD EVER GUESS YOU'D JUST HAVE TO USE THREE SHADES OF COLOUR AND ONE TOOL. Even on the clothing, srs.
Although I do have to often do clever cropping with the line tool before I select things to colour when there's different angles and weird stuff going on.
...I fear the day I have to draw hands.

The cat peed against the fence, so for your sake, you'd better hope that wasn't you lol
..There's a thickness option? I just change the size of it to whatever size I need, colour the areas that I need to shade with a slightly darker colour, then I go over that part a little bit with and even darker colour, then I blur it..I think that's even simpler than how you do it XD
I don't even use anything except for the pen, shader and eraser tools. lolimsuchaproatsai.
I always fear the day I have to draw hands. I spent over half the time it took me to do the whole drawing just to try and draw half of Myrie's hand ._. It's so rage inducing. I was thinking about drawing another picture yesterday, but I decided against it, I didn't want to get angry on my birthday because of freaking hands XD

[Was going to link something but can't, I'll note it to you or something]
This is what you wanna look for, under the pen tool.
It practically does all the shading itself, I only have to click once or maybe twice, rather than going over the same spot over and over.
And as for lines, try linework layers. I always use them (Which is why my lines are always so clean in my digital art) and they're pretty simple once you get used to using them. The ability to go over, say, a scanned bit of pencil artwork with the lines and then move the lines about to make things that looked bad look good, even after you've first put the line down, without having to erase anything, it's just SO GOOD OH MAH GAWD PRAISE THA LAWD
