... in the East.A friend requested Ken " Monkey " Khan so I did it to let off some stress. I do like the sunrise colors but I purposely faded all the detail in that scene to make it look more distant.
Might refine this later.

I like Sally/Monkey Khan more then Sally/Sonic. He was always attracted to her and she warmed up to him eventually. He's strong but he's also a thinker like her. In the end she turned down his marriage proposal.
Then she got shot full of holes.
Then she got robotized.
So yeah.

Yes, and it's an Official Character at that: Ken " Monkey " Khan from the American Sonic the Hedgehog Comic. He doesn't wear gloves so I didn't give him gloves here.

DARN, I thought there was no official moneky character. I was making my own Sonic FC who is a monkey with hand-like feet, a prehensile tail, gloves on his feet, gloves on his hands, and dressed in cut-off jeans (more like shorts) with a sleeve for the tail, a shirt of some sort (didn't decide yet, though I'm probably going to go with it being a yellow shirt with a brown horizontal stripe encircling the waist, a brown stripe encircling just above the elbow of the short sleeves and a custom monkey-related logo on the shirt). But the head of my character looks nothing like Khan's head, that's for sure...And he has cyan/aqua-colored fur and ice powers...
Now I'm probably going to have to scrap the idea because there's already a monkey Sonic character (in the comics, anyways...). D: I need to use an animal that hasn't been used yet.

You shouldn't even worry about that ... mainly because virtually every species has already been used in the Archie Comics either as a significant character or a background character. When it comes to making Fan Characters its less about going where no one has gone before design-wise and more about putting your own unique twist on that character. That is what makes them memorable even more then design.
Recommend you read The Originality Illusion for some insight to that idea. It applies for design as well.

I have an idea: how about giving his hands and feet some gloves (if you were to draw him sometime in the future, that is)? Four gloves would be awesome...

Looks great, the coloring & lighting does give it a nice sun-rise look.
Also nice to see a pic of Monkey Kahn, you rarelly see fanart of him.

And yeah. I'm a big fan of the Comics. This is my first time drawing Ken, though. Since his body is shaped a little different then your average Sonic character he's a bit harder to draw. He MUST get some shoes or something. >__>
