Description So, my own journal.
One of the main reasons that I started with bookbinding was, that every September I would stand in front of these ails of agenda's in the paper craft stores and such. seeing very expensive agenda's. not really my style, missing that touch. So I thought, why not make my own books. So I bought the cheapest journal with a layout I liked for this year and rebound it. I took progress shots so I will make a tutorial with it so all of you other journal loving deviants might want to make your own cheap but awesome journal.
I used fake green and black leather, and was dying to use the fancy inside paper of my journal for a personal project, so here it is. And the small key with the rope services as a lock.

How do you make these? Is there loads of sewing involved?

This journal in particular was a recycled journal you can find a tutorial in my gallery about this particular journal. My other books are all handbound thus a lot of sewing is indeed involved ^^

you can either try woodglue (the white stuff they give to kids) or minute glue. You're sure it'll work but it's expensive for the quantities you need. Don't use stick glue (the tubes you can screw the glue up to use it) it's too weak for most materials. Let me know how it works out for you

well you can refurbish your empty notebooks to make them more drawable
And the necklaces are the same as regular books to bind. Happy experimenting

Mooi! Ik heb dit jaar ook voor het eerst mijn eigen agenda 'gemaakt'. Ik vond de agenda's elk jaar minder leuk worden >.<
