This is a piece I made for the club 's theme this week. Rain.Entirely done in pencils, with tips and nudges from
Douche wouldn't let me rest until my portfolio was done.

I shaded the whole thing with pencil and then erased and drew more lines through it. owo

I've been really fond of this piece since I first laid eyes upon it, but in some ways that surprises me since this piece is lacking in the things I love best about your characters. The hair is rain-swept, so there's no fascinating shape or style to it, and it covers the face - as you know my favorite part of your art - so there's definitely a trade here for me. Somewhere down the line I would love to see you incorporate all your best elements into another piece like this one. <3
Now all that being said, variety is grand and this is still beautiful. ;D

This one was my attempt to express emotion without showing the face, and looking more at the body language. I've learned I really love shoulder blades.
And don't worry, I intend to push my art as far as I can.

Ha ha, I really don't know what everyone prefers - I just write what I feel about the piece. I always want people to tell me how my work looks to them, so why would I do any different to those I respect and adore? ;D
And as far as your intentions, I'd say you did quite well. You're even encroaching on why I don't really care about vivid character design. I like to work with interaction and emotion, not words. I do hope you'll play around with body language some more. I know Dave would appreciate it - he really gets deep into it.

This is an amazing piece, very artistically done with the position of the figure. While disturbing from the viewpoint of how the hell she got there looking like she just woke up. Her nudity is very beautiful without being tacky. Nice Work!
