I see that.

You need the back half which is a separate piece that goes behind the
characters this piece goes in front and is just clear so you can see them
inside but others outside can't see in

They can't see out they person outside can't see in, its just transparent so the viewer can see them inside
and yeah I might make the open lids part of the back half of the prop
