this time, the scanner was nice with me. He seems to prefer blue to red 
I'm back to watercolor after a LONG time... so don't juge this piece to harshly, please
This is Imia, on of my character of "Oniria's world" (view other characters here [link] )
She's an Efentera, a goddess. Like all the Efenters, she has the form of an angel, but can take other forms.
Efenters are the gods of human. Each one chose a human people.
Imia have chosen a mountain people. for these humans, she's the "winter fairy". She's also know as the "Snow lady", "The winter guardian" or the "Ice Star". Thought she appears in winter, she's rather linked to the moon.
She's said to protect the mountain people and to appear to every traveler lost in the snow.
Imia is quite shy and soft, but she's a very good moon magician, and will fight to death to protect those she loves.
I'd like to dedicate this piece to to thank her again for this lovely fairy ( [link] ) and for making feel like drawing fairies and coming back to watercolor

Te colours you chose are mighty suitable. Mabe you should have went for lighter colours, but I guess it's all about one's vision.

I'm fascinated with the story behind this
Her expression is beautiful - very peaceful and kindly. There's a lovely sheen on her hair as well - the bluey black glow to it.
I'm not sure about her actual figure/pose - but I can't quite tell if that's because she has different anatomy to humans? If so, I think the further shoulder is a little low down - but I don't think it's a major flaw or anything!

That's quite the same for me. Generally, I start drawing someone, and then, looking at the person I drew, I say to myself "I imagine her as a warrior/goddess/magician" and then, I start imagining the story

I can do it that way - or, what is more often, I know their story, so to speak - or bits of it - and I have this notion "she's dark haired, slender, wears a hell of a lot of black and purple, and has black eyes." Then I get drawing, and I discover the hook nose, the prominent eyebrows, the strong chin - but lack of cheekbones - etc...
It's interesting to start thinking exactly how and why one works...

yes, I have this feeling sometimes. I start drawing a character, which isn't very clear in my head, and then, I start imagining physical particularities, a particuliar clothing style...

I was quite worry when I started coloring the snow, I had no idea of how it would turn out.
I used to draw some fairies, but I stopped when I stopped watercolor. Now, I'm back to both

Good colors and her eyes too. makes you wonder what is she looking at that's way off the picture. some of the pencil lines come out too hard but oder then that nice work I love it.
