Description Lyanti! Or rather as it's read here, Rianti. I probably should have put a line to elongate that last 'i' sound. Wasn't sure on that though.

Finally I drew a good picture of her! I guess the 3rd times the charm.

So yeah, I'm actually gonna see how many of my Katakana project I can get through before I go insane. I sketched up a pic of Akita too. Need to color it.

So since there is no 'l' in Japanese, 'r' is the next best thing. They sound similar enough.

Shading feathers and long fur is too hard.

i must say, that this is a BEAUTIFUL piece. but the front right leg's anatomy seems a bit off to me, im not sure it just seem a bit off

Nope...not at all. Because the "ri" is the syllable in japanese. Drew it as part of a project I was going to do for myself to remember hiragana and katakana (it failed) but my 'ri' (pronounced ree) and your 'ri' that's in rice is "rai" soo...no...ri isn't for rice...

Anyways, on to the deserved comment! >:]

I can not get over how incredible you are coloring with those colored pencils. Not only does it seem you know just WHAT colors to use - you know how to use them. That and you make the colors so BOLD. Sometimes when I see colored pencil pieces, people draw and color nicely but the colors themselves just don't stand out enough. You do that perfectly, especially here!

Well...technically I'm just guessing and hoping that it looks good. Blue does make a great shading color though.

Lyanti has such a nice design. I love the mix of browns and blues. I really like the shading and details on the fur and feathers too.

Not only is the coloring some of the best I've seen but the perspective is incredible! I adore how you made the left foot so far away and how you used the feathers and the wings to help "block in" the character. The fur detail just blows my mind and the anatomy is dead on. Was this done in marker and colored pencil?
Let me tell you, YOU have talent!!! I really love this and thank you so much! This has inspired me to draw another day!

You have no idea how much you comment made me feel better. I've been having a hard time coming up with things to draw and ideas and stuff. And that just totally made me feel better!

The feathers were so hard to do.

It's all color pencils.
