Description I need to stop sketching costume concepts but I was bored in class and it was the first thing I could think of to draw. So what's this now...3 costumes to make? Have to finish Excalibur, the one of Sombra, and now a Corded Poodle...? x3 Though I should have fun attempting this mess. I couldn't just think of making a regular poodle...no...I like the look of a corded poodle and I want to make a fursuit that will look different to the typical wolves, foxes, and huskies.

I should stop thinking of things to make...

For a moment, I assumed that this poodle had dreads.

In a way...it sorta does.

Poodles don't have fur, the they have hair...soooo...if they cord like this...they sorta have dreads.

Niiiccccce
Thats adorable.
But yes, you should stop thinking of things to make and make them already! (Then again, I'm one to talk... )

Well I started on my Excalibur one okay! Where's your cosplay?

...

H-hey, I have three cosplay! ...Well, more like two and a half... And one of those two is isn't really a costume, it's more of a Parody...And on the only compleated one I still need a wig... and the boots screwed-up my feet... But damn it, I'll finish them 100% some day!
but I guess I'm putting of the Death Scyth/Spirit cosplay, cause it seems easy. (Exsept the tie and the hair, there's little to really work on.) And I've been busy!

Well...you need to finish that half! Just like I need to finish the other 95% of my Excalibur one...then I'll make one of Sombra...and then this poodle one!

Hmmm...his hair shouldn't be too hard. Cheap wig and dye it red and attempt to style it like his hair. The tie...Well get a black tie and sew a black piece of fabric on it...I dunno...I wouldn't make a tie...

Ah, that's great! (Though this reply was late, so you might be farther along...)

I don't want to go to cheep though. (Did once, and went horribly wrong.) There is no way I'm messing with hair dye, if I can help it, though. (considering the color of his hair, finding a red wig shouldn't be too hard...)
I was thinking thin cardboard, and cloth.
By the way, do you think I should go with the anime and go with a green shirt, or tan, like in the manga?

I finally got around to watching more Soul Eater.

Psh...no. I had to work on stuff for school. I'll get back to my Excalibur cosplay over this break.

Heh, yeah. Hair dye would be really messy and difficult.

For the tie? I don't just making a pattern and sewing it together would probably be a bit easier. In essence it doesn't seem all too difficult to sew a tie. I don't know how to do it but you could probably find a pattern online then modify it. Or draw it out yourself.

I think go with the anime. You see his shirt color all the time in the anime so people would be more familiar with it. Where as in the manga you see the color like that only on the cover. Actually...his shirt's a greenish tan. So they might not have even changed the color...just the perception of the color changed from traditional to digital media...I don't think I've seen him colored in the manga...

Fwwa heh, heh, at least I wasn't the only one.

Ah! If only it were just that, on my Kite cosplay I used dye to make the wig I got lighter, didn't turn out well, and left my room stinky, had to sleep on the couch... (Though it was just for the white, which was kind of on the cheep side...)

Yeah, if it were just a regular tie, but it's got that anti-cross-look to it type of thing. (That's why I said cardboard, to keep it up. Other wise I have a black tie that would have worked just as well.)

Ah, alright, that makes sence.
Nope, that was one thing that changed from anime-manga adaption. (always have to have one, don't they?) His shirt was a warmer color in the manga. (I saved a whole bunch of pictures of him, and I found one colored picture of him in the manga.)

Heh, that sucks. Didn't think it would smell too bad. That's why I'd probably go in the basement. Well...that's where I've been working on my Excalibur thing anyways 'cause of all the foam...that stuff makes a mess with all the cutting and such.

Well cardboard on that part would work. Not sure if it would be necessary for the entire thing. Or some wire in it or something.

Heh, alright. I don't think I've seen a color pic of him from the manga anyways.

Only the cheep one did. (At a last minuet impulse to get white hair spray.) Horrible.... Horrible... Never EVER get the cheap stuff at Walgreen or other such places... I don't even know what's in my basment, wouldn't feel safe with out metal baseball bat. (Heh heh, then go Hinamizawa Syndrom level 4... )

Wow, I never even thought of that! that's a great idea! Then I could just cut out the pattern for tie... line it with wire, and keep the cross part stiff, maybe I could use paper or cardstock. (that way the wire wouldn't have to be to thick, and it wouldn't be as heavy.) Yeah, that could work, thanks!

Ah, well if your interested; here's one: [link]
It's got him, and then some.

Walgreens isn't that bad... Well...my mom works there.

How can you not know what's in your basement?! You're not gonna be affected by Hinamizawa Syndrome...x3 Unless somehow it's being cultured in your basement...and if that's the case you need a new house.

Welcomes! Wire would definitely be something much lighter and possibly a bit easier to work with...I dunno...maybe not, but it would probably give a better effect.

Ah... Okay. I sorta missed over him in that pic.

Wait, I didn't say Walgreens it's self was bad... (Just cheep hairspray. Not just at Walgreens, but places like at party city, Target, ect...)

What? O-of course n-n-not! What would ever give that idea? *Whistles*

Might as well give it a try. I've already have the wire. (I was going to try to make key chains, to sell at Acen.)

Thanks! :3

Corded poodles just look awesome, especially when they're clipped how poodles are typically clipped for show. x3 If I had a poodle, I'd consider cording it's coat...if I had the patience for it.

You're welcome!

I agree so much. I have a corded poodle character, but I'm not too good at drawing her. I've only got one of her in my gallery and she's fluffy there. Now, I want to try again.

I should make these though before I come up with anything else... Me coming up with concepts and then not following through with it...I do it too much...

And I love it too. :3 It's one of my many unfilled sketch books. I like this sort of paper. I need to use it more often.

yus, you do! I'm not any better when it comes to sketch books though...I still have like three empty ones from last Christmas. @_@ But not having a scanner does me no good, either. >.<

How is da drawing going? I'm working on another sketch. Should be abel to get you a sub tomorrow so we can flow through this

SombraStudio In reply to BlueWolfCheetah [2009-12-11 03:24:42 +0000 UTC]

Heh, I have sketchbooks that aren't close to half full and yet I still end up buying new ones.

And I'm...working on it. Trying to fit it in the time between working on stuff for school. Flat colors are almost done...then the time consuming work of shading and background...

BlueWolfCheetah In reply to SombraStudio [2009-12-11 03:34:20 +0000 UTC]

I never buy sketch books, believe it or not. I just ask for them for Christmas, get a whole lot, and that lasts me a great while. XD My grandma always buys me a new one for my B-day too LOL

...Okay Sorry. I just need to get it ready is all. I'm annoying, I know, so sorry
