thanks very much!

well, I don't know how far you can go to manual settings on your camera, but as you can see from the exif-data to the right of the description, I made use of rather high ISO & fast shutter speed. you could simply try it out on any moving water near you and, if you do so, I'd really like to see your rsults so please give me a quick hit on that then

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

bizzara In reply to solo-talent [2009-02-24 22:25:13 +0000 UTC]

Of course! i'll try tomorrow
then i'll post you the eventual result
Thank you so much for explaining me! you've been really really kind to me

bizzara In reply to solo-talent [2009-02-25 10:41:07 +0000 UTC]

I tried and i am disappointed
everything comes out blurry and moved...not so clear and neat as yours
I tried with high iso and 1/5000 and more shutter speed, but nothing... I don't know if it is me or my camera

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

solo-talent In reply to bizzara [2009-02-25 11:52:23 +0000 UTC]

dawwww whaat??? 1/5000 should be way enough!! did you try using a tripod, or to put the cam onto sth. solid? maaybe it is shaking of the hand, but I thnk at that fast shutter speed handshake shouldn't be visible no more I'm sry

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

bizzara In reply to solo-talent [2009-02-25 12:02:25 +0000 UTC]

No i didn't...but that's not the point...cause everything around is fine and sharp. Just water is blurry, cause it's the only thing moving
I think i have to blame it on my camera

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

solo-talent In reply to bizzara [2009-02-25 14:56:56 +0000 UTC]

dawwwww
say, what iso & aperture did you use with the 1/5000 shutter speed?
I wanna try it with the same settings applied for we can say whether it is ur cam, or maybe sth else and my tries will blur as well?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

bizzara In reply to solo-talent [2009-02-25 15:22:00 +0000 UTC]

I tried with 800 iso and more...with 1/5000 shutter speed.
aperture..can't remember..but i put the same as you did in your pic i think

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 2

solo-talent In reply to bizzara [2009-02-25 15:33:09 +0000 UTC]

Okay, I tried it out but it is way too dark here, so I just tried using the cam's flash @ iso 800, aperture of 5.6 and 1/250 shutter speed. Result: The water was looking pretty much frozen. Maybe this could work for you as well?

Wow, this is one of the most creative photos of this kinda shot that I've seen! It looks a little like a spider, actually, the way the water has acted in this photo. Very strange, but totally awesome
