It might seem a little out of place but I wouldn't mind seeing Link in a timeline a bit progressed after Wind Waker. Yet still in a semi-ancient fashion. (Or limited technology fashion) You get me? I wish I could draw so I could depict my vision. Although, I disagree with him 'belonging', or rather I find it is ok to try new things just that those things don't ruin the formula, or rather the idea of Hyrule and everything in it.

Spirit Tracks used steam trains. Steam power was a limited technology in it's day. Even if that was technology, you don't see Link in modern clothing and hanging around cities like the Big Apple, Chicago or LA, or see computers, television and factories everywhere.
