Very nice work, especially for not using a pencil. I like his hair especially.

the description is like:
"Glossy paint for handicrafts. Non-fade, waterproof"
yeah, it smells a little like oil paint ^^

Nice sketch but two things, one the jaw is pushed in far too much, and two... WHERE IS HIS SWEET AS MULLET lmao.
Good sketch tho, but work on the proportion of the character. You got the idea of his style, but I still see where you can do some more work. Edinjo has basically gotten the style up and down lol. Here is his gallery... [link]
Anyways keep up the good work.
Btw... I skimmed through your gallery, you still need to work on that proportion problem. Here's quick advice for ya... first look at some CG images of MGS characters and draw the outline of them as if they were 2D. Then after that look up some of Yoji's artwork for reference. Try to focus on how he works with shadows in his artwork. Then apply what you've learned from his artwork into the 2D drawings you've done.

The Mullet has to be THERE lmao... MAKE IT BIGGER.
But yeah when I say proportion, I mean the human body in general. Like I said the jaw, which we already established... but yeah sometimes in some of the drawings you have, the way it looked didn't seem like that portion of the body was right... you know what I mean.
But yeah I kno you said you didn't use any reference. I didn't say you drew with a reference, I just saying to get the idea of that style is try drawing the way does it, like draw a traditional picture of Solid Snake off the web, but only use contour lines, then try to apply Yoji's style from there. Also when I meant reference I didn't mean by copying his work, I just meant draw the body the way it is, that helps you determine the proportion of a body in different poses... as if it was Life drawing.
I don't know, I mean I don't mind doing a drawing directly using a tablet, if I have to but, always I draw by hand, I'd probably do colouring in photoshop and that's it... that's probably why my stuff would be considered digital is because of the colouring.
