UPD July'2014: please note, this artwork was created in June'2012, WAY before any kind of info on Toph's kids (besides Lin) had been revealed. As of now it's obvious that Sokka may be the father of Toph's second daughter, yet he's definitely NOT Lin's father.However I so choose to keep this title for the sake of preserving the fun of predictions we've been making throughout the years.
The thing is, while everyone is drooling over ALOK ep.10, my current ATLA rewatch got me shipping Tokka. Hard.
Those two are almost as cute as Zuko himself (who is nearing divine, if we can say 'divine' about a cartoon character).
In ep.4 of b.3 Katara blatantly states Toph gotta marry Sokka. All doubts cleared.

NOTE about Lin/Tenzin dating 
they probably stopped dating after Lin discovered who her father was... I'm inclined to believe she never knew Sokka was her father, and when she and Tenzin decided to marry, Toph revealed the family secret. Which made Tenzin go seek consolation from Pema. Heck, poor Lin

Don't think it's stated that she doesn't know who her father is. Probably because there was no reason during season one for her to talk about her father since the topic was never brought up (obviously wanting to save it as a plot point).

about you not as to the lin/tenzin dating. my theory to make tokka cannon is just that toph got pregnant by ohev, or the duke or someone eles, but they didnt stay with her. so sokka became the step father to lin.

I love Tokka too, but I'm afraid your logic is extremely flawed - why would Lin not know who her father was? Sokka isn't some dead beat dad - he would raise Lin like the epic Wang Fire he is. Sorry I love Tokka too but that would never happen.

I think of it like Lin didn't know who her REAL father was. Maybe the father disappeared and Sokka, in love with Toph, decided to take responsibility as both a father and as uncle.

So I know itβs totally ridiculous and the writers of Legend of Korra would never do this, but my headcanon is that Lin is the child of Tokka. So in my head, Toph never told Lin about her father and Sokka and Toph kept their relationship a secret for reasons (maybe Suki became a raging bitch because Sokka had more power and became a more accomplished leader and warrior than her and Sokka was mad and somehow ended up with Toph in his rage at Suki and then she got pregnant and then Sokka realized his love for her & dumped Suki, but they kept it a secret because a) it would cause fallout and problems amongst Team Avatar b) Toph liked appearing independent and c) they were bored with their peaceful life in Republic City and sneaking around with each other was exciting to them). Anyway, so Toph forbade Lin from seeing Tenzin but Lin, being rebellious, snuck around with him. Then when Pema confessed her feelings to Tenzin, Lin got super upset and angry and vented to her mom about dating Tenzin and Toph finally told her who her dad was and why she couldnβt be with Tenzin. I think it fits in with Linβs character because I donβt think she would be the type to give up on the guy she loved because he might like some other girl, ya know? So maybe she realized that it was for the better and let Tenzin go. I also just canβt stand the idea of Toph being with anyone else, mostly because of a fanfiction I read that ingrained very firmly in my mind that Toph and Sokka only belong with each other.
