i used photoshop 6.0 
I just manually re-colored everything no effects, Selected the soft brush
Set it to linear light and chose the color i wanted,

very cool light and tones...the illumination of your eyes is genial

.. seriously though i think you could pull back the saturation or the colour on the hair ever so slightly, i find it draws the attention away from your eyes etc.
The lips are just right though
