Conservatory Lore: Wind-Torn Temple (Temple of Sound)
While Murkhail and a group of other Esk friends are exploring the Conservatory's Temple of Sound, they find a chamber full of grass and raised stone, and trees that are eternally bent by the force of the wind. They explore for a while until the gusts get extremely strong, and the smaller and warmer-climate esk huddle together, sharing warmth with each other. Lady fussily tucks her paws under Murkhail's warm tail, refusing to get too close to the huddling group but perhaps quietly liking the warmth and camaraderie, in her own way. Roux, a tiny mouse esk, using Murkhail's large body as a wind-break, plays happily on Firnado's hooked, beak-like nose. Dwelt settles himself on the ground, looking around at the barren, wind-torn, ever restless insides of the temple, thinking, wondering. Despite the sapping chill of the wind, none of the esk move to leave; there is a strange, envigorating, restless, longing draw to this room that holds them there, and as the esk accustomed to warmer boundaries, chill, they into each other and into Murkhail's warm fur or wrap themselves in his fluffy tail for shelter. Murkhail is compelled to hold onto a light cotton ball esk named Twinkles to keep her from flying away in the gusts, to Epoch's great amusement.
