I really like Hilda's design, but then again also all other female Pokemon characters. And also mentioning Black & White 2 as well, which based from the news would potentially be the best Pokemon game ever

Out of all the female trainers in the Pokemon series, Hilda is the most beautiful, in my opinion.

I think that was a rumor, apparently during the development the protagonists of BW were originally going to be aged 14-16. Ten is what they stuck with (WHY DO I KNOW THIS!?)

I was always an Oshawott guy myself...but I used Tepig in Black. He was too slow...at least Samurott had more physcal bulk. Emboar (who looks a LOT like Ganon) had good HP, but not the defenses for it...

I also picked Oshawott first. If you're a competitive guy, Empoleon's water + steel trait might sound good. I liked Emboar's design the most though, and I usually pick grass types at previous games so I skipped Snivy during BW

Empoleon is 4th gen though. He's good for Swords Dance and Aqua Jet, I would imagine, and so is Samurott. Competitively though, the 5th gen starters don't stand out. The best starter is obviously Speed Boost Blaziken, but techjnically that's Dream World. Still, he's so good, Smogon got him in Ubers.

I never really got to figure out Pokemon competitively. I keep trying to visit smogon, but it's kinda disappointing if you don't know that much pokemon players nearby to play with
