So I drew this waaaay, waaaaay back (like as a birthday present for Sandersonia type of deal) because I was always disappointed with the lack of bonds between the three of them. Like, what do they do for fun? Do they ever tease each other about their marksman ship? Does Hancock ever have to chew the two of them out because SOMEBODY keeps leaving scales everywhere and they won't fess up? Does Hancock ever threaten to turn them to stone for doing really dumb minor stuff?These are important questions you guys!

I bet Hancock does have her "impatient older sister" moments, but the bond between Marigold and Sandersonia is more obvious than either of their bonds with Hancock. Β You are right to say that "We need more fun, leisure things with the women of Amazon Lily." Β Sure, they're dressed a little scantily for the most part, but they battle, keep accounts, grow crops, and celebrate like any other civilization in the One Piece universe.

Yep. I know that they aren't (with the exception of hancock) important for the plot in the long run, but I really hate that we missed out on a lot of world building when it came to amazon lily. Like, something past 'a bunch of ladies in bikinis' would have been awesome. And even their motto of 'power = beauty would have been cooler if there had actually been strong and unattractive women in there, ya know?
(and it sucks that there'll never be more in depth stuff on the sisters because the way I headcanon it, Hancock was pretty protective of Sandersonia and Marigold when she was younger and she purposely tried to take the brunt of the abuse for their Β sake, which is why she's more distant now, even towards them)

Hmm, off the top of my head, all I Β can really come up with for biological siblings are them, shirahoshi and her brothers, law and his sister, Doflo and his bro, Arlong and Madam Shirley (I think), and tom-san and his fishman brother are about the only ones that I can name >.>
although I hadn't thought about it before, it really does seem like Oda has a thing for people who are siblings through choice, rather than blood

Yeah, Arlong and Madam Shirley are siblings. Tom and his brother are a good pair, even if don't really get to see them together (I love you, Tom. Why must you be dead?).
I think that's kind of the point. A big part of One Piece is that family is more about who people are to you than what they are to you.

Yeah- I really doubt that we'll get any more on their relationship. If he didn't do it during Amazon Lily or the parts right before/after the timeskip, then I doubt that Oda's ever going to find it important enough Β to talk about
