There's more of an imposing guardianship to this one. It commands respect, like it's supposed to. We have a lot of totems out where I live too but I rarely see them with such colours. Red, black and sometimes white is what I'm used to. I like this one.

I love the angle you took this photo at. It feels like I am looking up to the sky so that i can see the top, not a straight-forward-overdone shot like most would choose

damndamndamn! awesome shot-but thats not why im damning...theres this damn totem pole in this park in virginia waters where i live,and i wanted to take a picture of it ...same basic feel and everything. i dunno i see youre from the states so i dunno if totem poles are especially commonplace wher youre staying but the one im talkin about is right smack in the middle of the uk. makes no sense...its a freakshow.
but yea. cool pic.

In the state where I love totems are pretty much everywhere, and my grandfather used to carve them so they always catch my eye..I never realized how few people had actually SEEN a real one till I put that picture up though..lol
