  Douglas has live for a very long time, too long to the point where life doesn’t excite him anymore. He doesn't find the joy of any celebration or events (birthday, funeral, festivals, etc), he has no attachment to life. Because of his long lifespan, he watched so many friends and comrades passed, that's why he want to live for a purpose and so his long life won't be wasted. He enjoys simple things like staying in, reading books, having black tea and biscuit on a rainy Sundays.
  An introvert who has to put up a face and please people. Douglas doesn’t fancy human interaction, he rather avoids them. However, his job requires him to serve society so he put on a mask in order for his job to go smoothly. His real personality and how he brings himself at working hour is a total opposite. He would be all smiley and gentle at work but a rude introvert outside work. You will mostly see his friendly and gentle self because he rarely shows his introverted side to people.

  Kelpies originally are an individual creature, they are not bound by norms nor relationship. Douglas was alone for a very long time. He lives in a mythical forest alongside with other creature, the riverbank, and the forest was his home.
  Until, one day a strong dark magic attacks. Douglas join forces with other creatures to protect their home. However, all effort turns into vain. The dark magic contaminates the forest and water, It manipulates most of the creatures. For a while, Douglas has zero control over his body. He would attack villages, eat innocent kids and women.
The nearby villagers stop going through the forest, they labeled it as cursed and forbid anyone to enter the forest. They stop sending sacrifices into the river, the villagers have cut off any contact with the forest.
  Once in a full moon, the creatures manage to regain their consciousness. The power of the full moon provides them enough to regain their sanity. Many moved to a safer area. The forest started to lose its inhabitant one by one. Douglas in the other hand couldn’t move because he was too weak, the curse took a huge toll to him. The water has been contaminated, and he hasn’t been eating for a long time. He was left alone and weak in his riverbank. Only the power of the moon keeps him alive.
  Waking up, Douglas finds himself in his human form and his body is covered with purifying items such as medicinal plants, healing mineral rocks, and flowers. He could move his hands but his body is still too weak to travel or even walk. A stranger is taking care of him, she is a traveling doctor. Feeling uneasy at first, there is a time where Douglas attacked her. Being defensive and refuse her help. however, he couldn't do much since he is still too weak. They would fight nonstop, she insisted on helping him while Douglass refuses to accept her offer. In the end, he has no other choice but to be treated by her. She is gentle yet strong, Douglas felt warm whenever she is around. She saved his life and give him hope that he still has a future ahead of him.
  Fully healed, Douglas left his home and traveled with her. He would be her apprentice, travel the world and Helps those in need. She passed down her medicinal knowledge to him, She also gave the name Douglas Cerulean to him ( Douglas= Dark Stranger/ Dark water, and Cerulean= a color ranging from blue, azure, and darker sky blue. Based on the color of his eyes). At an old age the doctor decided to settle down in Almaria city with Douglas, there they spend her last moment together. Douglas would continue working as a doctor in Almaria city, and stay at the Doctor’s place.

He is originally a Kelpie but could shapeshift into a human, child, Horse, anything he has seen.

Could live in both land and water. He does have gills and water species attributes in his Kelpie form.

His body temperature is relatively low, could go as extreme as icy cold. He uses this ability to cool down fever, preserve wounds, freeze external bleeding, change water temperature, etc.

He does have super strength power, and use to hunt for humans. Usually, he would drown them, or rip them in pieces. He stopped doing it now and try to control his power so it won't disturb or hurt people.

Kelpie’s home is the rivers, they could control the current, tide and water flow.
