I'd say flight. Definitely flight.This wasn't something I initially intended to finish. Once in a while I will sketch something for myself to see if a certain idea I'm having at that moment would work visually. This wasn't one of them. But, I showed the sketch to one of my oldest friends and she was very excited when she saw it. She's really into the Alice games and the whole Wonderland thing. More so than I am, or anyone else I know. So, she pretty much insisted I finish this one.
I hope she likes it.
Also, in case you guys didn't know... American is currently in the process of pitching the idea for a third Alice game to EA. Tentatively called Alice: Asylum. Which as far as I know will be a prequel to the first two games. Unfortunately American's mere enthusiasm won't be enough to convince EA, he needs your help.

i don't usually like this sort of theme (dark, ominious, horror etc.) but this picture strikes something interesting which i like. i especially like the pretty pretty butterflies

Really awesome illustration, though for me the butterflies kinda ruin the mood. It would have looked way more menacing with glowy bats or something like that

Thank you. The butterflies make sense contextually. It's a gameplay element. I was just trying to stay close to the source material. If it were up to me, I would've painted some raptors with jetpacks in there.
