The lunation 7.July in China by the government is called "QiQiao Day"
We have a very beautiful story for the day.
Long long ago(I think perhaps 5000 years ago),one day, a beautiful fairy ZhiNv meet a human boy NiuLang, and then they are full in love and marriage by stealth. But the group of the faerie are oppose, the leader of the farie to disjoin them and catch ZhiNv away and lock up.
Afterward NiuLang and his friends ask for the leader more and more times. At last, they are allowed to meet, but one year one time only, the day is lunation 7.July.
At that day's night, thousands upon thousands pied magpies will come into being a bridge on the the Milky Way of the sky. NiuLang and ZhiNv get across the birds bridge be together on night--one year one night!
Afterward the day evolutived and now girls will celebrate for needlework and cooking game to pray a blest marriage for themselves.
