This was SUPER helpful! Reproducible Β and easy to follow, this helped me finally get those pesky eyes right. Thanks!

The only problem is how do you make the ends sharp?Β
(and the eraser is pretty much useless...)

That's odd.. still works for me and I'm fairly certain they haven't updated the program.. so it shouldn't have changed.

Holy crap! That`s certainly easier and faster than I would do with Illustrator!
Although, I`m not good with Inkscape yet. I guess I have a good idea of how it works, I just need to get used to it. Anyways, thank you for this great tutorial!

This should help me a lot. I'm doing some Research before I mess around on it again. Had to jerry rig an an half finished vector... too bad I have to start from scratch.

I'm new to inkscape and I can't figure out how to use the gradient tool, how do you adjust the direction of the gradient?

The second tool down on the toolbar lets you edit points. Select the object with the gradient with the normal select tool, then switch to the second one. There should be a line going across the object that ends with a square on one end and a circle on the other, just grab either of those and move them around to adjust where the gradient starts/direction it goes.
