I moved from paint to gimp. It wasn't an easy transition, but I feel like I'll be able to do a lot better with this. Any advice or criticism is appreciated.Related content

Another program that's good is Krita - I personally prefer it. Anyway's good art.

Paint doesn't have layers, does it? Gimp does. That's one of the most important benefits you'll get from using Gimp instead of Paint, since you can sketch on one layer then draw the final drawing on top of it on another. Not that you have to draw that way, but it is useful.
