And so, after the horrid smells and waiting brought on by , I wrapped the handle to give it the proper look of a hunting/military knife. I used a basic basket weave and double knotted the end of the cord, burning the ends together.

It's para-cord I found for 8¢/yard at the Army/Navy store outside of town. When I bought it, I didn't know it was was actually used to wrap handles with, so I'm thrilled about that. I was a bit nervous when I started wrapping because I only bought 2 yards and usually people buy any where from 6' - 12', but thankfully it was enough to do this with since I didn't want to make a lanyard or anything at the end.

Overall, I'm thrilled with the end result. I was worried that it would be uncomfortable to hold but since I cut down the edge, it is really comfortable in my hand, and I don't think I will have any problems holding the knife and gun at the same time.
