I love how you can see every detail on the petals and leaves.
I also love the drops of dew, this photo shows all my favorite visual things about nature. ^^
Not to mention OH MAH GOODNESS PINK!!!

If only it were a scratch and sniff... oh how I love the smell of flowers! ^^

thank you!

it was such a wonderful scent as the scent of rain gave it such a unique quality that it would not normally have otherwise

beautiful shade of pink , my mother had a big bush of these near my bedroom window
when I was a kid , it was next to a lilac tree and the mixed smells from the blossoms were
divine and relaxing

it's just nice to have a bouquet of fresh ones around
don't need many to spice the air
and leave them around in little dishes when they dry out

yep, and it's amazing how easily they can be grown from seed, too, and/or cuttings.

mmhmm , just need the right conditions and off they go
my 3 yr old son has a thing for lavender ..
I suppose me making the house smell like lavender and eucalyptus
( another glorious smell ) might have something to do with it

snoogaloo In reply to jodipheonix [2011-05-18 17:29:15 +0000 UTC]

just might...doesn't hurt i'm sure

yep...i love eucalyptus...so glad you spelled it first or i'd be looking it up in the dictionary lol

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

jodipheonix In reply to snoogaloo [2011-05-19 00:41:15 +0000 UTC]

yeah... eucalyptus is an interesting word , spelling too
and if you say it slowly it sorta sounds like the way it's
spelled but you can still easily mess up the spelling lol

and no it doesn't hurt ... eucalyptus has medicinal purposes too
great for clearing sinus , and doesn't taste bad either if
used as a flavouring. it's like menthol

the honey from their flowers is absolutely wonderful, too. it's a very dark honey, but very tastey

my dad did bee keeping and i got to learn all the various kinds of honey

jodipheonix In reply to snoogaloo [2011-05-21 04:34:59 +0000 UTC]

neah , I don't mind it.
I didn't like it the first time I tried it
but that's because of the way it was given ..
on bread with no butter - YUCK!
it's nice on toast , sparingly and with butter
not bad in veggie soups either..
but again , sparingly.
it's good for you too , specially if you're sick

ahh...ok...will have to take that in mind next time i have the opportunity.
will you be my vegimite expert in case of future need? lol

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

jodipheonix In reply to snoogaloo [2011-05-21 06:44:54 +0000 UTC]

sure
try it with a bit of cheese too ..
can also get " cheesymite " which is
a 50 50 mix and isn't as harsh as plain vegemite

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

snoogaloo In reply to jodipheonix [2011-05-21 07:27:31 +0000 UTC]

"as harsh" hmmm...gotta think on that one lol
