she felt it in the air; crispness of snow melting to the cool, refreshing saturation of water dancing heavy in the air. the draw of the water is peaceful, inviting, so she begins to roam. as soon as ahku steps out onto the clear glacial pool, only allowing herself to grace the surface, she feels the tickle of her flowers beginning to close. she doesn't know where this journey will take her--only that it will take her away. she thinks briefly of mabel and her peaks, but is now familiar with the pulls and pushes of the world's energy and now she treks without trepidation.
