So...I decided to draw Orochi...because he's been BEGGING to be drawn! He's an amazing Fuu Dog OC of Kat's! I LOVE HIM ALREADY AAAAH.
Also, this is my first piece completely done and finished with my new Copic Sketch Markers which are truly amazing! *clutches at markers*
This is A4...? So Kat will be getting the original for her birthday as well c;
That mane took forever oh my goooosh
but this was really fun to colour ;U;

I always use a mix of watercolor paints and ink for the abstract backgrounds that I do, but let me know if you find another material which works!
BUT IF YOU ARE IN AWE OF MY SKILLS AND I AM IN AWE OF YOUR SKILLS THEN WE HAVE COME TO A STANDOFF. Perhaps we should collaborate at some point in the future - it would be cool to see what our skills mixing would come to

Yeah. . Marker paper doesn't really hold up to water (I have never used it really since it's too thin for me and often rips). You can get some really nice hot pressed watercolor papers which will work with both the markers and watercolor though or using Bristol works too. And yes! We should totally do a collaboration at some point. It would be awesome *U*

The marker paper that I'm currently using is 'Bee' and it's reccomended for use with copics >w> It's really nice paper, but I haven't really used any other papers >3>"
Do you reccomend any specific brands of hot pressed watercolour paper? I migth have to buy some and try it out! 8'D

Yeah. . I got some of that marker paper for copics. . and it just rips for me, I am really tough on my papers so they have to be really thick for me to buy them. I recommend Arches hot pressed watercolor paper (you can get it in blocks) since it works really well for any medium you desire to put on it (watercolor, colored pencil and marker). If you're a multimedia freak like I am, Arches is a dream paper.
Collaboration. . Hm. . Let's just start listing things each of us like and we can see where they overlap! Also are you a sketch/ink person or color? Here's the start of my list of things that I always love drawing:
- Mythical Beasts (phoenix, dragons, unicorns, ect)
- Okami
- Pokemon

Do the markers bleed much on the Arches? Because the paper I first used with my markers (me being new and oblivious to their abilities to bleed) was absolutely horrid! D:
And I do want to get better with my watercolours and such c:
I guess it really depends on what I feel like at the very moment. Most times I LOVE sketching, but colouring is a highlight also. So it really varies...if I HAD to choose one then I'd say...sketching/lining. BUT THAT'S A PAINFUL DECISION.
Which do you prefer? c:
Well...I love drawing:
- Chinese creatures of myth such as Eastern dragons for example...I ADORE Chinese mythology c':
- Pokemon is a big obsession for me atm
- Fanart of anything I like, such as Supernatural, Monkey Magic and any other tv shows that I like...although I'm still working on my humans...
...anything really, I mostly like drawing art for other people because doing that makes me feel better and more motivated.

Awesome, it is quite nice paper - you will have to let me know how you like it! And no, I don't notice very much bleeding with the markers, the paper seems to hold up nicely for me.
As for a collaboration. . I would don't mind either way - I am equally fond of the drawing and coloring aspect. Chinese mythology would be fun, perhaps a Fu creature of some kind (because they are awesome) or a dragon?

squarish ones (don't have brush-tip): Yellow, one darker & lighter shade of brown, pink, hot pink, black, orange, light & dark blue, one darker & lighter shade of green.
rounded ones (do have brush-tips): one lighter and darker shade of skin-colour, darkish red, violet.

His fish tank is triple the size of what they kept him in at the petshop ;A;
