This is the second one of your photos that stuck to my eye like a glue.
The angles from which the images are took are not perfectly the same, so that detail stuck with the image too, but the overall composition is really good.
My first impression was 'now and then' photo. Even thought it is probably the same time period, but the lower photo is giving the impression of the Moscow today, night life, modern metropolis.
On the other hand the photo has such a retro feel to it, tranquility and peace.
Than I look at it a bit more and I start understanding what have you tried to accomplish with it (at least I flatter my self
