Description Typha latifolia (Common Bulrush) is a plant which grows in marshy areas. I made the picture on my last vacation in Germany.

That one grows in Finland also, it's quite common. Altough we never refer those brown things as "cigars" Nice photo!

Pretty shot, cute title. I live in what used to be known as "Tobacco Valley" where they really do produce the leaves for cigars so I was expecting something entirely different. Good joke!

I love them especially in winter. Their shape and fluffy look has something special then. They just look so 'alive' between lots of dead material.
