Description
This was half of the final piece of my identity project for AS. the idea was that we pigeonhole people by snap judgements about them. As a viewer you might not know the girls here, or even their names, but you make a judgement about them by the way they look. I tried to make their own box personal. I did not tell them how to pose, just how they felt like was my only instruction, then waded throught the 264 photos i took to find a nice composition. I also got them to write on a piece of paper about being in my box, how it made them feel, what it made them think etc and super imposed this on the back wall. Again i did not give them any instructions about this.

Basically, that was a long winded way of saying each portrait is as personal as possible, yet you still know relatively little about them, not even their name, and you still judge them.
