Yeah me too! I always draw in regular white paper, so it was lots of fun!
Yeah, exactly that! I mean, she's like the 'I'm-super-smart-yet-I-get-the-guy-I-want-and-everyone-loves-me-and-I'm-mudblood-but-awesome-and-I-know-it-all' girl. (what a name, wow) lol It's just that she annoys me a bit, it's always Hermione must know, Hermione can do it. They don't credit Ron or Harry enough.
Anyway, thanks! Oh well, I doubt in a regular basis I could draw boys that look like boys, but this sort of happened accidentaly, I was really sleepy and it turned out sort of fine. lol My good works are an accident, way to go as an artist!

youre very welcome! and yeah - what a name! im gonna get a new sketch book tomorrow so i might have a look at some cool texture papers while im in the art shop ^^ im in a traditional art mood right now - and not just because my sai trial ran out and i have no idea how to work paint-shop :/

i think the thing that annoys me most is the fact that most characters in those types of books are cliche - it is pretty popular choice to have a 'chosen-one' a 'smart-girl' and a 'comic-relief' character - its the same with the Percy Jackson series and so on.

and i too find hermione to be a annoying like that - i quite agree with you. before i saw the film i thought her name was pronounced 'her-me-own' lol ^^

Yeah well, this ripped piece of paper is from a notebook, maybe I will draw othere pieces on that too. It's all the same paper, but I like it ^^
I had pt sail for a while, I ended up deleting but because I do mostly traditional work, so it was space wasted. It was a free version though
Oh, what bothers me the most about Hermione (Although I do agree about the cliche characters in all books) is that she's physically described a loooot like me. And I'm sort of the know-it-all in my class. But Hermione goes over the edge and ends up looking almost like a Mary-Sue or something like that and I don't freaking want to be like her! lol I don't even know, I should stop ranting about her and go make more art
Well, since Spanish is my main language, when I read the book I read it like, letter for letter and it'd be something like er-mee-oh-neh. Not cute at all xD

i dont mind if you want to rant, we all do it from time to time ^^ i have to have a good rant about stuff that annoys me too - some characters in manga are usually the subjects of my rants ^^

i think i will be doing more traditional work for a while, its fun to use (and buy) different materials - though the shop i buy my supplies from is tres expensive. i want to get some pots of ink but i dont want to spend all my money! but i want ink...

im gonna argue with myself about ink all night now, lol ^^

Totally! I don't usually buy new stuff, I just have a huge house with old items everywhere, so I'm always finding new things to use lol.
Think it through! You don't have to get like every single type and colour of ink the store has, but one at a time...
Oh and you're going all traditional and I just downloaded sai again, I realized I missed it! Gotta go work on something new then.

my stupid sai trial ran out so i hopefully will learn to use paint shop by the time my contest ends since i put requests as prizes too.

i think i will just buy a new sketch book tomorrow, possibly some new pens

i should figure out how to use paint shop - thanks anyway ^^ if i cant figure it out i will beg my parents for corel painter 12 for christmas - its around £200, so tres expensive but, hey, it'll be christmas and its not like i want anything else.

you go find your inspiration girl! i usually find some inspiration just from looking at random DA pages. its good for ideas. these are some galleries i find inspiration in:
