Help!! I cannot stop drawing Dorian!The background design was taken from his tarot/companion card in the game. The idea was to create something that looks like the game's companion card, but has realistic portrait of him in it. I like the way it turned out.
Hmm.. I am thinking of doing this style art for other companions as well. Who would you like to see next?

Oh I LOVE the juxtaposition of the realistic Dorian portrait and the tarot card background. I have the tarot deck and love the card so much I got the t-shirt when the BioWare store was selling it, and it's inspired my Dorian fanfic The Magician. This artwork is so lovely and absolutely perfect for him. I love the *slightly* mischievous expression, as if he's daring someone to come a bit closer, be it friend, foe, or lover.

When Dorian was announced as a party member I didn't think much about him, but as soon as I started playing and talking with him I was hooked. He's so well written, well designed, and well acted. He's fascinating and fun and so complex. I just love him, and trying to capture him in words. You captured him in art so beautifully!

I love Dorian as a character too. I just fell in love with him after his personal quests... My poor inquisitor went pretty pathetic later on, choosing to stop him from going back to Tevinter.. lol "emotional blackmail" he said.. but in my head, my inquisitor's pretty inexperienced in these matters, and thus quite needy.

It was his personal quests that got me wanting to write his backstory (as I interpreted it) and the more party banter I heard (because I take him EVERYWHERE) the more ideas I got! Now I'm getting ready to finish up that story soon and start in on my Inquisition fic based on Dorian and Theo's relationship. I may have also sewn a Dorian plushie this evening... I don't have a problem
