Yes! You need to draw more females! And I need to draw more guys! I compleately spoiled the gender quota of the characters I draw hahah xD 80/20 females maybe..?
It's good to imagine back stories for original characters! Haaah it's so good actually! Imagining many features and aspects of the characters.. Hmm I miss being able to do that xD I actually envy you you know.. T.T I lost this maybe..?

I actually quite enjoy drawing females nowadays D: I used to like the flatness of men, but recently I'm thinking it's very fun with women because their curves can vary so much. But, huh, now that I think about it, I haven't really drawn lots of different male body types either. Time to get on with some training on that!
This was much easier for me before. Now I already have some characters to go on, and from there I can develop them further and create new ones. But still, of course you haven't lost it! You just need to let your mind off of other things and start imagine!Β Just start making characters! You don't have to stick with them if it turns out you don't quite like them; change them or make new ones! The characters makes the story, after all, so it isn't wrong at all to start imagining them first. Stick them in different situations and draw it. Write down their properties, personalities, names, weight, height... There's no end to it. And it's so fun.
I used to be so sold at fanart, but lately I barely want to draw anything other than my OC's xD
