I'm not gonna lie, I've been a fan of Princess Peach way back in the days of Super Mario Bros. 2 when she originally gained her completely irrational ability to float places and was known as Princess Toadstool in America. When they first introduced the name "Peach" to the states in Mario 64 by signing her letter to Mario with it after she had written "Princess Toadstool", I was -convinced- for the longest time that it was a postscript telling him what flavor cake he was getting.In hindsight I should've included a frying pan because her best role is arguably Super Mario RPG, in my opinion. I think that was when the love truly began, or at least was realized?
Anyway, this was done right before Fanime 2008 as a print. A lot of my CG work lately had been done by painting the figures first and then outlining afterwards, so this was a return to the olden ways of doing the detailed linework first followed by the colors later.

Wow, I thought I was the only one. I didn't figure it out until I started seeing "Peach" used in other places like Mario Kart 64.
Actually, I believe the first time "Peach" was used was in Yoshi's Safari for SNES. Guess they forgot to translate the name, huh? (Wouldn't be the first time *coughJudgem'sCloudcoughKuribo'sShoecough*)

I think this is a good take on Peach, for it's relatively true to Mario without beign... Well... X_X
She's a lot of fun to play as in Smash Bros and she probably gets more flak than she needs. As for the art this is really good! I like how you included a lot of her weapons from smash, it's fun and looks cool, and she's behaving normally and all... Just nicely done!

I would have loved the hell out of this if Toadstool had had a frying pan, even tucked into the back of her dress, or in her other hand instead of the peach. As-is it's still OBVIOUSLY AWESOME, but man, referencing SMRPG would have made you my HERO. This picture is amazing though!
