The English name of this bird of prey is a misnomer: it spends more than half of its life in Africa (it only comes to Europe to breed), it doesn't eat honey (but wasp larvae) and it isn't a buzzard (more related to certain kites). The Dutch name (wespendief aka "wasp raptor") is far more fitting. It is, however. one of my favourite birds of prey, and by extension one of my favourite birds or even animals period. It's simply beautiful.
